I’m Wendy and I own The Green Stores.

My journey into living more sustainably was triggered by my growing family. As a family of six, we were hugely aware of the footprint we will leave behind on our planet. My aim was to reduce the impact and make it easier for our community to do the same.

I started shopping at a Zero Waste shop about 15 miles away from our home and decided that I wanted to explore the possibility of starting one locally - the idea of The Green Stores was born in 2019 and we opened in April 2020 (just as the pandemic took hold).

It has been a wonderful journey so far and the Team has loved getting to know so many locals who share our passion to live more sustainably. We continually question our suppliers and choose them based on their transparency and ethics.
